Friday Five is celebrating Halloween today...here you go....

1. What is your favorite scary movie?
I love the Scream movies. I don't know if they are scary enough to be in this category or not.... My other favorite is the classic Hitchcock Psycho (not the remake) and The Exorcist.
2. What is your favorite Halloween treat?
I am a total sucker for the treat size Nestle Crunch bars. I love those things. They are much better than the full size thin version of the candy.
3. Do you dress up for Halloween? If so, describe your best Halloween costume.
I dressed up for Halloween from grade school through college, but since then I haven't had the opportunity to dawn a Halloween costume. I would say that one of my best costumes would be the year that I dressed up as our friend Brad. It wasn't so much my costume that was the best, but the ensemble of costumes that Jeff, Jen and I put together as we dressed up like the HMB Work Crue and everyone's reactions to the costumes. I also made myself a Fred Flintstone costume once. I was pretty cute as Fred...
4. Do you enjoy going to haunted houses or other spooky events?
I used to really enjoy these. I would go to as many as I could in High School and I went to a couple in college, but since then my interest in haunted houses/haunted forests, etc. has dwindled.
5. Will you dress up for Halloween this year?
Yep, in orange and black to hand out candy to the neighborhood kids....probably no costume for me though.

Ok...this may be one of the more depressing things I've ever done, but I am putting a counter on this page to keep track of how many people actually read my blog...I hope to get at least 4 hits a day...I don't ask for much really....
As a side note to my earlier post...
If anyone is interested in boosting their presence in my cubicle I am all about accepting bribes....make me an offer I can't refuse and you'll rocket up the list of important people on my desk!
You know I have too much time on my hands at work when....
I can take time to tally up the picture appearance totals on my desk and cube walls. Since I know you've all been dying to know who appears on my desk most frequently I'll provide you with the totals:

The Photogenic Superstars are:
Myself: 8 times (I am not really an egomaniac as this makes it seem, it is important to note that these are all WITH other people.)
Jeff (my adorable hunk of a husband): 7 shots of his mug are around here
Megan (aka Mugsy, my sister): 4 beautiful images of her, with four different hair styles....
Sheila: 4 lovely shots of a wonderful friend.

Making dual appearances:
My lovely Parents, Dave (Sheila's other half), Cara, Amy D. and the Chicago Skyline

Making solo appearances:
Mr. and Mrs. Tennessee Athletics... Scott and Sarah Rabenold, Chad "Outlaw" Lieber and his lovely wife Tanya, Heather "H" (..the coolest girl I know), Katie Zondlo, Greg "Frosty" Thomas, Julie, Amy M., Jay "the new guy," The Wrigley Field Marquee, Chicago's Buckingham Fountain, The Rocky Mountains, Buella the sax, Buzz Lightyear and the Entire Hawkeye Marching Band.

I am sure you will all rest easier now that you have this piece of extraordinarily useful information. Back to my boring day....

I don't understand what's going on with blogger...I posted twice this afternoon and neither post is appearing on my blog, even though they appear here in the edit screen. I am going to post this as a test....let's hope it works.
Apparently, the GOP in NJ is getting desperate in their race for the senate seat vacated by Mr. Torricelli. Reportedly, the GOP, including our fine President are attacking Mr. Lautenberg, the controversial Democratic challenger allowed on the ballot by the NJ Supreme Court, because of his age. Lautenberg is 78 and according to the GOP is avoiding debates with the GOP candidate Douglas Forrester because his "mind wanders." I don't know if this is the best approach in a state where there are 1.13 million residents older than 65 and about 6.4 percent of those residents are older than 75. Especially given that seniors make up more than 20% of the midterm voters. I think it's ridiculous that Lautenberg is on the ballot in the first place, but stooping to snide age remarks might not keep him out of office.
It's good to see that Lizzie Grubman is finally going to jail, even if it's only for 60 days, as penalty for her temper tantrum ala SUV attack at a Southhampton night club last summer.
Remember this name...Derek Kitts...running for his first political office at age 29, Derek is a candidate for the state representative in Oregon's 30th District. I can almost guarantee that we will be hearing much more from Kitts in the coming years as he moves up the "political ladder" into national politics.
